Which Fountain Pen Should I Get?

Loading ...It’s tough when you have to decide which pen to purchase and which pen to forget when you’re a fountain pen lover. Even though I already own a Faber Castell E-Motion and a Pelikan M400 White Tortoise, the urge to get another pen has hit me yet again. Now its the decision between the cheaper Namiki Vanishing Point and the more expensive Visconti Van Gogh Maxi. Well, a short information on the 2 pens. Maybe some kind soul can help me decide if I should just go ahead and get the Namiki Vanishing Point or save up alittle more and get the Visconti Van Gogh instead.
Namiki Vanishing Point
The Japanese made Namiki Vanishing Point is a unique fountain pen that has showed the advancement of fountain pens in these modern times. The name Vanishing Point is given to this pen because of the unique nib mechanism. This pen has no cap at all and is also known by the name “Capless” in some parts of the world. In order to use this pen, one just simply “click” the push button to extend the nib and “click” the nib again to retract the nib back into the body.
Visconti Van Gogh Maxi
The Visconti Van Gogh Maxi is an Italian made pen that is made from the most beautiful semi-translucent vefetal celluloids. Every piece is unique in its colouring and patterning with no two ever quite the same. The particular model that I’m looking at is the above Honey White colour. Somehow the marbled white look really draws my attention to it. The other reason I like this pen is that it retains the traditional fountain pen look with fine Italian styling and quality.

The Visconti Van Gogh Maxi for sure. I have no experience with neither. But both are so different. The Visconti Van Gogh Maxi is on my shortlist…….
But then in a classy black color.
I’ve actually gone on to purchase the Namiki Vanishing Point and am kind of regretting my decision. Will post a review on it and explain why I feel that way.
